Host an Event

Hosting a fundraising or product sales party at your home or in your community is a fun and practical way to fight slavery and help survivors.  You can educate your friends about trafficking and slavery at your home, school, community center, or place of worship. You don’t need to know a lot about the issue as we can send you a film to play and all the materials you need.

Some successful events in the past have included house parties, Dreams of Freedom music and dance events, art shows, Freedomfest music festival, fashion shows, coffehouses and open mic nights, yoga fundraisers, workplace presentations, sales tables at fairs and festivals, and galas with traditional Indian music and food.  Events have been hosted by adults, teenagers, college students, faith communities, and professionals in almost every state since 2005.

Whatever the theme or size of your event, we will provide you with all the tools and support you need to educate your guests about trafficking with a focus on hope, positive change, and empowerment.  Wecan send a video, printed awareness materials, and brochures.  You can also order products to sell at the event, or contact us about buying products wholesale for fundraising.

Best of all, since our overhead is covered by a foundation grant, we can put 100% of donated funds from your event into programs and services for survivors - right where it is needed most!

While we do not currently have the capacity to consign products for Awareness events as we did in the past, you can still host an awareness event and encourage your guests to place orders online, or purchase some samples to show off the beauty and artistry of the survivors' handcrafted items.
