Every Day Miracles
Welcome to the blog of Sarah Symons! I am the co-founder and Executive Director of The Emanc
ipation Network (TEN). Driven by the conviction that modern slavery is a violation of every human right, particularly devastating to the world’s most vulnerable women and children, I and my team have decided to go ‘All In’ to end slavery.
To be very honest, when I started TEN, I was seriously lacking relevant experience, and I’ve had to learn a lot and make up a lot as I went along, which has certainly led to some stressful times. But thankfully, I’ve had plenty of help along the way, and my work is made possible every day by the courage and selfless effort of people all over the world. The survivors we serve are the beginning and the end of everything we do, and it is my personal mission to make every decision based on their best interests. Greater than the inhuman torture that was laid upon them is the beauty and courage still alive in their hearts and lives. That is the first and greatest of the everyday miracles I write about in this blog.
