Made By Survivors’ supports the education of 500 child survivors and high risk kids to attend school, many for the first time in their lives. Child survivors of slavery, and kids born into brothel communities, are destined to grow up and repeat the cycle unless they are given education to build a different kind of life. We are committed to supporting our sponsored children to continue their education through high school and even college. 18 of our sponsored kids started college this year in India and Nepal - many have been sponsored by Made by Survivors for 5 years or more.
Educating a child through grade 10 all but ensures that she will not be trafficked into slavery or re-trafficked. Some of the children in our education programs were once enslaved in brothels for sexual exploitation. Others labored in quarries or brick kilns, or as domestic servants. Some are the children of trafficked persons, including kids born into brothels and growing up in red light areas. Now they can all look forward to a free, independent future.
Sponsorship costs only $30 a month. Donors can sponsor children through monthly payments, or through a yearly donation of $360.
Sponsor through monthly Paypal donation or Annual or Monthly Sponsorship through JustGIve

OUR SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM SITES:
PPLE OF GOD'S EYE
Our sponsored kids at Apple of God’ Eyes in Kathmandu live in family-style homes that provide care to 180 children. Many of these children study at the Apple of God’s Eyes Academy. We have recently taken on sponsorship of the entire school, which educates 300 children
NIJULOY, CALCUTTA INDIA
Nijuloy Home, run by Women's Interlink Foundation, houses 100 survivors and girl children from the Sonagachi red light district. We sponsor Nijuloy girls to attend good quality schools near the shelters and also contribute to their shelter room and board.
JALPAIGURI SHELTER, INDIA
Our newest sponsorship program supports girls at a shelter built by Made by Survivors and operated by Women's Interlink Foundation. The girls range in age from 4 to 19 and have been rescued from severe forms of child labor or slavery, or from red light areas.
PRINCESS HOME, NEPAL
The Princess Home was by Ranjit & Sarah Kunwar in a room of their church on a shoestring budget, to care for street children in Kathmandu, Nepal. In 2010, ten Princess girls enrolled in school for the first time, with sponsorship from Made By Survivors.
FREEDOM SCHOOL, VARANASI
The children in the Freedom School used to work alongside their parents in quarries or farms working off ‘debts’. Thankfully, we are partnering with an amazing local organization called MSEMSV which rescues entire communities from slavery. We provide 3 year school sponsorships to all formerly enslaved children in the village.
EKTARA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, CALCUTTA
Ektara is located in Topsia slum, near the railway tracks, along which many of our sponsored children live in tarpaper shacks or 10 to a room in crumbling apartment buildings. Girls in this community were not traditionally sent to school, and were at high risk for child marriage, child labor and trafficking.
